[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

I spent a lot of time in Utah. I grew up there. I love it there and sometimes I feel bad for not giving my children a place like Utah to grow up in. Suburban Chicagoland is a fairly different place than suburban Salt Lake, much less a Logan, Utah.

So, anyway, I listen to the PRI Radio West podcast from Utah Public Radio over the Internet. It helps keep me in touch with my inner Utahn while allowing me to keep my distance from the truly Utahrded. It’s a great show and talks about issues with a Western frame of reference, which I appreciate.

This clip is from a show where they discuss marriage. This is an actual caller, from Utah expressing her opinion about how pay equity for women and men is inherently unfair.

So, yeah, there’s that. Sometimes I don’t feel so bad for raising my daughter from outside the Zion Curtain.
