I hate to give props the the dreaded Minnesota Twins, but what a game they had! One of my favorite players, Jim Thome, starts off a 5 run rally in the ninth to bring the Twins back into the game at Philly and win in the 13th. It was the 570th home run for Big Jim Thome who is now 11th on the all-time list. It couldn’t happen to a better guy. So who did Big Jim hit his homer off of today?...

John Gruber Doesn’t Respect Baseball What a dick. The Baseball umpire, for all his faults, is part of the game. You can change the rules going forward, but I think the game result has to stand. We all know it was wrong, and it sucks, especially for the young pitcher. But Baseball can’t award Armando Galarraga with his perfect game any more than it can take those balk calls back...

Lead story on the news tonight: local journalists went to tour the devastation… in Philadelphia. This consisted of going to sports bars in Philly and asking people if they were sad. I guess nothing notable happened today.
